I. SARA Title III Section 312
  1. Section 312, Tier II forms are due no later than March 1 annually.
  2. No less than thirty (30) days following the Section 312 reporting deadline the delinquent facility will be notified.
  3. The Hazardous Materials Division with the assistance of the local Municipal or County Codes inspection division shall personally inspect delinquent facilities during April.
  4. The Charleston County Legal Department shall pursue delinquent facilities via appropriate judicial protocol after May 1.
  5. And, all remaining delinquent facilities will be identified in the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  6. Those facilities reporting Tier II materials shall be billed during the month of May by the Charleston County Business License and User Fee Department.
II. Citizen Right-To-Know

The purpose of this organization shall be:

  1. Ensure mandated public notifications are made to include “Notice of Public Availability” during the Month of January before the first meeting of the year.
  2. Ensure notification of the annual LEPC meeting schedule is made available to the Public during the Month of January before the first meeting of the year.
