I. SARA Title III Section 312
- Section 312, Tier II forms are due no later than March 1 annually.
- No less than thirty (30) days following the Section 312 reporting deadline the delinquent facility will be notified.
- The Hazardous Materials Division with the assistance of the local Municipal or County Codes inspection division shall personally inspect delinquent facilities during April.
- The Charleston County Legal Department shall pursue delinquent facilities via appropriate judicial protocol after May 1.
- And, all remaining delinquent facilities will be identified in the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Those facilities reporting Tier II materials shall be billed during the month of May by the Charleston County Business License and User Fee Department.
II. Citizen Right-To-Know
The purpose of this organization shall be:
- Ensure mandated public notifications are made to include “Notice of Public Availability” during the Month of January before the first meeting of the year.
- Ensure notification of the annual LEPC meeting schedule is made available to the Public during the Month of January before the first meeting of the year.
